2020 isn't stopping to be cruel to mankind. After witnessing many horrible incidents this year, here comes yet another tragic news. Legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam is no more. He passed away about a while ago in Chennai. Today at 1.04 pm, he breathed his last. Balu was tested positive for the coronavirus last month and he was undergoing treatment at MGM Hospitals in Chennai.
Balu was under life support for the last few weeks. His health kept getting deteriorated every now and then. For the last few days, we have been hearing that he is doing well and responding to the treatment of the doctors. His son SP Charan also gave a few updates about Balu's health, which relieved all his fans. Last evening, the news came out saying that his health is extremely critical and he continues to be on life support. The management of MGM Hospitals also confirmed the same. Finally, the news broke out a few minutes back. Balu's demise has pushed all the film lovers in a sad state. His loss will be a huge void to the Indian film industry. He was 74.
Balu was born in 1946 in Nellore of Madras Presidency. He made his singing debut in 1966 with the Telugu film Sri Sri Sri Maryada Ramanna. In a career spanning over five decades, Balu sang over 40000 songs in 16 languages. He holds the Guinness record for this achievement. He won six National Awards and many state awards in his career. After his demise, many of his fans and celebrities are expressing their condolences on social media.
