A young writer named Manduri Rajesh recently raised allegations against Megastar Chiranjeevi's upcoming film 'Acharya'. He alleged 'Acharya movie is based on his story Peddayana.  He alleged that he narrated the story to Mythri Movie Makers and they have passed it onto Koratala Siva.  

Mythri Movie Makers and Acharya Team have responded to these allegations today.  They have outrightly refuted the allegations as baseless. Mythri guys have clarified on their Twitter handle that if the story narrated by Rajesh is as good as he states, they would have produced the movie themselves with appropriate casting. They went on to say that when the story itself is bad why would they go and tell Koratala Siva garu to adopt the story?  

On the other hand, Team Acharya has released a press note saying that the copy allegations are baseless.  They have clarified that 'Acharya' is an original story written and conceptualized by Koratala Siva alone. They went on to say that it is absolutely ridiculous to claim that 'Acharya' story is copied just by looking at the motion poster. They added that it is unacceptable to defame a reputed filmmaker like Koratala Siva.
