With the closure of theatres for the past 5 months, many filmmakers are opting for direct OTT release. Medium range and big-budget filmmakers of Tollywood are hesitating to release their films but the situation is completely different in Bollywood. Top league stars like Akshay Kumar are coming forward to release their films on OTT. The latest information reveals that two more big-ticket Bollywood films are getting ready for direct OTT release.

'Suryavanshi' starring Akshay Kumar is one film. 'Suryavanshi' is a cop film directed by Rohit Shetty. Katrina Kaif is the heroine of this action film. Another film is '83' starring Ranveer Singh. The movie is based on the 1983 world cup win. The main focus will be on captain Kapil Dev who brought the first world cup to India. Both 'Suryavanshi' and '83' have completed their shoots and there are actually ready for the release. Initially, the filmmakers waited for theatrical release but now they have changed their mind to release directly on OTT.

These two movies will release first in OTT and they will go for theatrical release later. 'Suryavanshi' will be will have a theatrical release on Diwali and '83' will be hitting the screens on Christmas.
