Piracy has become a huge problem for the filmmakers. Even TV channels are also facing piracy issue for a long time. Recently ETV has faced a similar issue for 'Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya'.

It is known that 'Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya' had a direct release on Netflix recently. The movie has received a good appreciation from the audience. The satellite rights of the movie have been acquired by ETV for 2.5 crores as per the information.  ETV is planning to telecast the film soon. Meanwhile, a local cable TV channel in Hyderabad has telecasted the movie without any permission. ETV management came to know about the telecast and they got furious on the TV channel. They have sent a legal notice to the cable TV channel demanded Rs.1 crore as compensation.

The cable TV channel management has reportedly apologized for ETV and they have mediated through some biggies to withdraw the case.  ETV management said to have taken back their complaint after giving a strict warning to the TV channel.
