'Roja' is one of the memorable films directed by legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam.  The movie was released in 1992 and it was the debut film of AR Rahman as a music director.  The latest reports from the Kollywood reveal that Mani Ratnam is planning a sequel to the classic now.


Mani Ratnam is presently working on a historical film 'Ponniyan Selvan' with a huge star cast.  He is presently working on the script for 'Roja' sequel.  As soon as he finishes 'Ponniyan Selvan', he is going take up 'Roja-2'.  He said to have finalized Malayalam hero Dulquer Salmaan for the crazy sequel.  It seems Dulquer is a perfect choice for the film because he has got good recognition across South.


Dulquer entered the film industry as the son of Mammootty but he slowly made a mark for himself. He proved himself as one of the finest actors in the South. He went on to act in all the South languages and Hindi as well.  Let us see what happens with 'Roja' sequel.
