Chiranjeevi-Sri Devi's biggest classic film 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari' (JVAS) has celebrated its 30th anniversary this Sunday. In the last 10 years, there are several rumors about JVAS sequel. Producer Ashwini Dutt is ready to bankroll it and plans were made to have Ram Charan in the lead role.
Now that the movie is celebrating the 30th anniversary, Ashwini Dutt is giving a lot of TV interviews. When he's asked to tell something about the sequel, he said: "I and Chiranjeevi have decided to make a sequel with Charan Babu".
Being a Megastar's son and with mass image, Ram Charan is apt and highly suitable to reprise the role of 'Raju'. But, the challenge is in finding the right heroine to play 'Athiloka Sundari' opposite Ram Charan - one who can mesmerize like Sri Devi and her magical appearance. It is one of the biggest challenges in front of the makers. In fact, Chiru himself confessed that 'JVAS doesn't exist without Sri Devi and she is irreplaceable'.
The second biggest challenge is the story. After Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, no other socio-fantasy film has gone on to become a classic in TFI. Also, our audiences are looking for new-age content now and it isn't easy to prepare a script that can excite the audiences of this generation. As soon as the makers announce a sequel, expectations on the film skyrocket. So, it is certainly going to be a daunting task to work on JVAS-2 script.
