While India is going through a nationwide lockdown, Ex-Chief Minister of Karnataka Kumaraswamy's son and actor Nikhil got married on Friday morning. The marriage event took place at a farmhouse in Ramanagara near Bengaluru. The bride named Revathi is the grandniece of former Karnataka Minister and senior Congress leader M Krishnappa.

Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon, who found fault with the event, took a dig at marriage on her social media page. She posted- "Ok. Obviously poor souls are not aware that many in the country not being able to reach their families and are going hungry, while the rest are trying to help others override this crisis” and added, “Wonder what was served in the buffet…”

It remains to be seen how the government and state officials will respond to this event. It is known that the centre has banned all kinds of public gatherings and social events.
