Superstar Rajinikanth's latest movie Darbar released for this year Pongal at a grand level that it managed to collect 50 Crore gross on the first day itself. This kind of grand release is definite risk-takers as it results in huge profits if the movie plays good else the scenario would be total worse. Such is the case with Darbar now. Even though producers are well profited with the flick, the distributors are lost a lot. However, this isn't the first case to Rajinikanth in the matter of Losses to distributors.
The distributors decided and gathered protest at Rajinikanth Residence. When they got no answer, they decided to attack director AR Murugadoss also.
The director claimed that about 30 to 40 distributors have been hounding him daily, allegedly seeking compensation for incurring losses from distributing Darbar. He submitted a petition with the Chennai Police Commissioner seeking police protection. When the police did not take swift action, he escalated his petition to the court.
