Sports Biopic has become a successful formula. MS Dhoni, Bhaag Milka Bhaag, Mary Com have proved the same. In Tollywood though, Gautam Tinnnanuri and Nani together succeeded with a fictionalized sports biopic 'Jersey' which is now going to be a Bollywood remake by Shahid Kapoor but produced by our own producers Allu Aravind and Dil Raju. In Bollywood, There's also a sports biopic '83' getting ready which highlights Kapil Dev during the 1983 world cup. The Role is carrying by Ranveer Singh and his wife's role carried by Ranveer's real wife Deepika Padukone. The poster which reveals Ranveer as Kapil Dev is already released and kept its hype all around.
It is now the news that King Nagarjuna and Kamal Hassan are added to the film encouragement, The Telugu Release is going to be presented by Annapurna Studios which is been announced by Nagarjuna himself. Whereas, Ulaganaayagan Kamal Hassan is showing it to Tamil People.
Getting ready to release on 10th April 2020, 83 the film is directed by Kabir Khan, originally produced by Deepika Padukone, Kabir Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala, Madhu Mantena Varma under Reliance Entertainment, Phantom Films, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
