In a crackdown against tax evasion, the Income Tax sleuths on Thursday conducted searches at actress Rashmika Mandanna's residence in Virajpet of Kodagu district, Karnataka. The officials have reportedly recovered unaccounted cash of Rs 25 lakh, besides property documents of their residence.
Since the emerging star was out of station for shooting, the officials have questioned her parents who failed to give a right explanation to IT sleuths on property documents. It is also in news that bank accounts of Rashmika and her parents are being verified.
On other hand, Rashmika's manager clarified that the actress has got nothing to do with the IT raids at her residence because she has been making all her transactions in Hyderabad. The IT officials have conducted raids with respect to the transactions of her father, said Rashmika's manager. After making a successful debut in Telugu with 'Chalo', the Karnataka actress went on to become a household name in both Telugu states. Following the super success of Geetha Govindham and Dear Comrade, Rashmika has scored another blockbuster in the form of Sarileru Neekevvaru featuring Superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead.
