It is known that farmers of the Amaravati region are protesting Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s three-capitals proposal from the last 23 days. They've received the support of all major political parties like Telugu Desham, Jana Sena, Bharatiya Janata Party, CPI, Aam Aadmi and other organizations. Without relying on anyone, farmers are continuing to agitate against the proposal made by Jagan in Andhra Pradesh state assembly.


Offering his support to farmers of Amaravati, Tollywood hero Nara Rohith took to Facebook and shared a heartfelt message. Rohith, who is a nephew of TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu, said: “The sacrifice of Amaravati farmers for the construction of Andhra Pradesh capital is priceless. Their contribution gave a new life to the bifurcated state which's suffering without capital and by giving away their lands, farmers have paved the way for easy administration from Amaravati. Their struggle for last 23 days to save Amaravati will be an inspiration for future generations. The protests of farmers will never go waste and I too will be participating in their agitation soon.”


Earlier in December, Megastar Chiranjeevi and Comedian turned SVBC chairman Prithvi have expressed their views on Jagan’s proposal. While Megastar Chiranjeevi welcomed a three-capital proposal by releasing a press statement, the controversial remarks made by Prithvi didn't go well with the farmers. Prithvi has compared the farmers who’re protesting to ‘paid artists’.
