Actor Akshay Kumar, who was born in Canada has nationality as Canadian and his haters have made it difficult for him to be an actor in India. He has often been targeted for having Canadian citizenship. The actor has always been hurt when people ask him to prove his love for his homeland. The actor has contributed a lot towards the country but every time he gets trolled for having Canadian citizenship.

However recently, the actor revealed that he has applied for an Indian passport. Soon, his fans poured in comments for the actor and stated they love him no matter what, with or without the Indian passport. Some of them also commented that now Akshay haters have nothing to say against him.

“While all these years, I have never needed to prove my love for India to anyone, I find it disappointing that my citizenship issue is constantly dragged into needless controversy, a matter that is personal, legal, non-political, and of no consequence to others. I would like to continue contributing in my small way to the causes that I believe in and make India stronger and stronger,” said the actor at an event.
