Despite having several star actors, massive sets, crores of budget and hoopla around a film, the verdict was given on release day by audiences is final. Because they decide the fate of any film. So, producers should never overestimate their project for having star heroes in it. Due to a huge budget while in the making, the recent releases Saaho and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy have to face a slump in earnings. This has come down as an important lesson for 'RRR'.
It's an SS Rajamouli directorial featuring stars like Jr NTR and Ram Charan. So, the makers are investing have decided to invest an amount of Rs 350 Cr. But, the numbers have changed now. The recent speculation is that makers of RRR have reduced the budget by 100 Cr and it is clearly an effect of RRR and Sye Raa. Going by the box-office viewership and collections for the recent big-budget movies, the Rajamouli team has decided to reduce the budget of RRR.
On the other hand, even though our Telugu films enjoy good craze in Bollywood, one cannot tell when they will accept our movies like the rest of the Hindi films. So, Rajamouli has planned to cut the budget heavily. Apparently, it helps the producer do see better profits and helps him to make good money even before the film's release. Even if the movie doesn't perform as expected, the opening collections will be certainly big and buyers may exit safely.
So, that is the reason why Rajamouli decided to reduce the budget by taking all the necessary precautions so that the quality won't take a beating. So, it's a welcome move by the most successful director.
