Senior actress Khushbu has extended her support to Upasana Konidela, who has raised the voice on behalf of South Cinema. It is known that Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India has met with Bollywood celebrities recently. Amir Khan, Sharukh Khan and other prominent figures from Bollywood has joined the occasion.
“Dearest @narendramodi Ji. We in south India admire you & are proud to have you as our Prime Minister. With all due respect, we felt that the representation of Leading personalities & cultural icons was limited only to Hindi Artists and The South Film Industry was completely neglected. I express my feelings with pain & hope it’s taken in the right spirit” Upasana tweeted.
Khushbu also raised the voice along with Upasana Konidela against Narendra Modi’s ‘partiality’ on the South. But, many celebrities from South India haven’t shown much interest in raising their voice on the domination of the North.
It is not about North and South, it is truly a spirit of democracy and equality many are expressing their view.
With al due respects to all those who met our H’ble PM @narendramodi ji last eve on behalf of Indian cinema, would like to remind @PMOIndia that Hindi films alone do not represent or contribute to the economy of this country. South Indian cinema is the largest contributor.. cont.
