The emergency meeting of MAA (Movie Artists Association) which was held in Hyderabad is leading to many controversies in the industry. Few members of the association have walked out of the meeting expressing their dissent.
Speaking to media about this, Comedian Prithvi who recently got appointed as SVBC chairman said 'I am no more interested to continue as EC member of MAA and I will soon quit from the post. Senior Writer Paruchuri Gopalakrishna who wrote around 400 scripts was insulted and he had to leave the meeting teary-eyed. I don't understand if I should be happy for having won as the MAA member or I should worry about the internal issues troubling MAA right now.'
The senior Comedian has gone on to allege that 'Some members of Association are feeling as if they are Presidents of India. And many groups have been formed internally. Also, MAA general secretary Jeevitha and executive vice-president Rajasekhar are finding faults in everything we (members) say.'
Finally, Prithvi wanted the industry bigwigs to involve and settle the issue in MAA. Earlier on Sunday, controversy flared up in Movie Artists Association after Jeevitha and Rajasekhar called for an emergency meeting without inviting President Naresh.
