After a long gap, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has made a striking comeback with the remake of the blockbuster 'Arjun Reddy' (Kabir Singh in Hindi). The star actor has added a 300 Cr-club movie to his credit with Kabir Singh. Boosted with success of the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial, Shahid has now set his eyes on another super hit Telugu film - Nani's Jersey.


According to the Bollywood reports and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Shahid has been officially finalized to star in Hindi remake of Jersey. The emotional sports drama, which has received immense applause from the audiences and reviewers in Telugu, is a story of a talented but failed cricketer Arjun. The director of the original version, Gowtham Tinnanuri, will helm this project in Hindi as well.


This project will be jointly bankrolled by leading Telugu producers Dil Raju and Allu Aravind. The makers have also announced the release date of the film as of August 28, 2020. Telugu version of Jersey stars Nani and Shraddha Srinath in the lead roles. Anirudh Ravichandran has scored audio tunes for the film.
