He may not be giving blockbusters like in the past, but actor Suriya Sivakumar continues to be the man with golden heart. The star hero is immensely popular down South and his recent gesture towards shows why he is revered the most. The star actor has made a donation of Rs 10 lakh towards Tamil Nadu Film Directors Association Trust as Diwali Special Fund.
Suriya has personally handed over the cheque to Directors Association chief secretary RV Uday Kumar, who thanked the actor for such a noble gesture. It has been a phenomenal career for Suriya, who delivered many super hits and blockbuster movies in Kollywood. He's one of the very few actors who enjoy huge popularity in both Telugu and Tamil languages.
Recently, Suriya starrer Bandobast (Kappan in Tamil) released across both the states and it received mediocre response from audiences. The film directed by KV Anand features Arya, Sayeshha and Mohanlal in other important roles. In the recent past, Tollywood filmmaker Puri Jagannath had financially assisted a few directors and assistants by donating Rs 50,000 to each person.
