Before the release, the expectations were very high on Megastar Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. The biopic story of India's first freedom fighter, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, has received an overwhelming response from the fans and it is clear from large crowds at theatres and soaring box office collections.

Sye Raa, which had an opening day collection of Rs 37.28 crore from both Telugu states, now earned Rs 10 crore on day-2. Sye Raa has opened to phenomenal reviews for its direction as well as performances. Given that it's working day on Thursday, trade analysts expected that box office collections would drop massively on the second day of release. But, the Chiru starrer refuses to slow down. On day-2, Sye Raa has amassed Rs 4 Cr in Nizam, Rs 1.80 Cr in Ceded, 1.65 Cr from Vizag, 0.90 cr from East & West, 0.71 Cr from Krishna, 0.67 Cr from Guntur and 0.31 Cr from Nellore.

Despite tough competition from Bollywood's action film War featuring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, Surender Reddy directorial is making headway with excellent performances of Chiranjeevi, Sudeep, Jagapathi Babu, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Nayanthara.
