Virataparvam 1992 has gone on sets and the first schedule of the film is going on at a brisk pace. Directed by Venu Udugula, the film has Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. The film is being made under the backdrop of Naxal movement that happened in Telangana in the 1990s.

Speculations have been rife that Tabu will be playing a key role. But the team hasn’t confirmed that she is part of the film because she wasn’t sure about being part of it as she has Ala Vykuntapuram Lo in her kitty already for which she is shooting.

As per the latest report, the actress turned director Nanditha das has replaced her and has begun shooting for the film already. Kamli is the last Telugu film in which she was seen and this was in 2006.

Now, almost after 19 years, she is back to the industry here and we have learned that she is very happy to have been on the sets. It is said that she relates a lot to the role she is playing. Also, she has praised Sai Pallavi for her acting skills and for being a good person too. Nandita will be playing a short, but significant role.
