Vikram, after a debacle like Sketch and Saamy 2, has made a film called Kadaram Kondan, which released on July 19, and even this film is a disaster at the box office. Now, he is all set for Ponniyan Selvan, his upcoming film which will be directed by Mani Ratnam. This film will go on floors in January and the makers are roping in an ensemble cast for the making of the film.
Vikram is going to play Aditya Karakalan, and it is a role which is not like being a villain but having the qualities of a villain. Asked about why he chose to be part of this film, here is what he said. “When Mani told me the script, I just loved it and immediately said yes, as I have been wanting to do something like that since a long time. Finally, when I have got, I didn’t want to lose it. It feels nice to be teaming up with him, and Aishwarya too. We three have worked together previously for Raavan and it was a big hit,” said the actor.
