Actor Chiyaan Vikram is busy shooting for Kadaram Kondan and he also has a couple of films in his kitty. It has been a long time since Vikram has bagged a hit as his recent films like Sketch and Saamy 2 have tanked at the box office.


Meanwhile, the latest news is that the actor has bagged another big project in his pipeline of projects and it is none other than Ponniyan Selvan, which will be directed by Mani Ratnam. Vikram has earlier done Raavan with Mani Ratnam and it had Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles. So once again, he is going to team up with the legendary director to bag another hit into his kitty. The film is titled Ponniyan Selvan and Vikram will be seen playing the role of Aditya Karikaalan in this film which is based on the Tamil historical fiction Ponniyan Selvan, which is written by Kalki.

Recently, Aishwarya Rai, in an interview with Anupama Chopra, during Cannes, has confirmed that she is part of the film and that she will begin shooting for the film once it goes on floors. The film has a huge star cast and the film will go on floors next year.
