Tragedy struck in the family of popular Telugu hero Allari Naresh, who's basking in the success of Maharshi. The actor's grandmother and EVV Satyanarayana's mother, Eedara Venkataratnama passed away on Tuesday. Aged 87, she was suffering from old-age health issues for quite some time.

Venkataratnamma, who are staying in Korumamidi of East Godavari district from last 8 years, passed away at her residence in the village. Apart from Allari Naresh, Aryan Rajesh and their family members, filmmaker Sathi Babu and producer K Ammiraju from the industry attended the funeral at Korumamidi.

Eedara Venkat Rao and Venkataratnamma had four children, and legendary filmmaker EVV Satyanarayana was eldest among all. EVV too died in 2011, after suffering the complications of chemotherapy and cardiac arrest.
