Having made successful directorial debut with RX 100, filmmaker Ajay Bhupathi is yet to commit his second film. As per industry insiders, he missed many opportunities to direct stars like Ram Pothineni, Bellamkonda Srinivas, Nithin and Akkineni Naga Chaitanya as well.

Finally, Ajay is set to team up with Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and this project is expected to get 'Mahasamudram' as its title. As Ravi Teja, who is reeling under a series of disasters, liked the story narrated by Ajay, he agreed to star in the second movie of the director. Once Ravi Teja wraps up his ongoing project in the direction of young and talented VI Anand, he may start to work on Ajay's film. In the meanwhile, the RX 100 director got a nod from Sammohanam lady Aditi Rao Hydari, who might be seen as the female lead alongside Ravi Teja.

Apart from Ravi Teja, the story of the film requires yet another hero. So, the makers reportedly opted an upcoming hero Ishan, who made his Tollywood entry with Puri Jagannath's 'Rogue'. Ishan is the nephew of Sandalwood producers CR Manohar and CR Gopi. An official announcement about the film is yet to be made.
