While Pooja Hegde's latest film with Superstar Mahesh Babu- Maharshi-is set for release on May 9th, the actress is now in the news for other big reason. In a very short span, the model turned actress achieved star status and she is totally happy with her line up of projects.


In an attempt to take her star potential to the next level, the former beauty pageant has increased her remuneration humongously. The Mukunda actress already bagged a number of hits in her kitty, and now the reports suggest that she has demanded a massive pay cheque to act alongside Mega Prince Varun Tej. We all know that Varun has collaborated with 'Gabbar Singh' director Harish Shankar for 'Valmiki'. But, they are in a huge shock to learn demand of Pooja Hegde. 

For a tiny role which requires just 15 days of shoot, the svelte beauty has reportedly sought a massive salary of Rs 2 Crore - which is certainly a hefty figure for producers. But, the makers (Ram and Gopi Achanta) are not going back and are ready to fulfil her demand. Yes, they're gearing up to get Pooja by giving her the salary she asked for. Also, there is an official announcement expected in the next few days about her onboarding.

Valmiki, an official remake of Tamil hit Jigarthanda, will have the lead actors in highly messy look and that's the reason why Varun had to grow a thick beard.  It remains to be seen in which look will Pooja Hegde feature in the film.
