On its first weekend, Lakshmi’s NTR has managed to cross 5 Cr gross and it is the biggest for maverick director Ram Gopal Varma in recent times. However, it isn’t released in Andhra Pradesh and above collections are about Telangana and overseas box-office out-put.

In the meanwhile, team Lakshmi’s NTR is busy with its promotions and producer Rakesh Reddy is looking to release Lakshmi’s NTR in Andhra Pradesh as early as possible. In this scenario, producer Rakesh Reddy along with advocate Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy has approached Supreme Court of India to challenge high courts decision of holding the release of Lakshmi’s NTR in Andhra Pradesh. ‘It could manage to cross 10 Cr mark on its weekend if it was released in Andhra Pradesh along with Telangana’ one of the trade pundit expressed his view.

It is learnt that in Khammam Lakshmi’s NTR is flooded with audiences from Andhra Pradesh, who are very near to this Telangana district. meanwhile, on its first Monday, Lakshmi's NTR tasted heavy dropouts in many theatres, sources revealed.
