During the initial days of discussions, the storyline of the movie has somehow leaked to the media and according to that, the main plot revolves around the Red sanders smugglers of Sesachalam hill located in Andhra Pradesh. For this role, Sukumar had reportedly asked Mahesh to grow a thick beard for getting the desired raw and intense look. Our Superstar has smoothly rejected this proposal of Sukumar telling that the fans may not like the beard look and also said to come with another storyline.
Sukumar somehow didn't turn up instead went to Allu Arjun and had taken his acceptance. This is how Mahesh lost his chance of acting in Sukumar's direction.
