In the last six years, Nikhil has only two hits. While one is Karthikeya, which released in 2014, the second one is Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada and it was in the year 2016. Two years ago itself, Nikhil said that the sequel of Karthikeya is on cards and now, as per the latest news, he has given a nod to the film and director Chandoo Mondeti is readying the script.


Chandoo’s recent film Savyasachi also released to mixed responses at the box office. This film is going to be bankrolled by producer Abhishek Nama. If everything goes as per plans, the film might go on floors soon and release next year. On the other hand, Nikhil is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Arjun Suravaram. The film has Lavanya Tripathi as the leading lady. The theatrical trailer is already out on YouTube and is a thriller in which Nikhil plays a journalist.


The story of the film revolves around an aspiring investigative journalist who uncovers a crime syndicate selling forged degrees. This film is an official remake of Tamil blockbuster film Kanithan, which was directed by T N Santosh and he is directing the Telugu version too.
