Yatra, a part of late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, Ex-Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (Combined state) and then Congress leader, has finally ended at around 8.81 Cr (share). Though we cannot conclude it as a big hit, we have to agree that it is a decent film in terms of collections.

All we know that there was zero hype before its release. But, with the support of YSR followers, especially YSR Congress Party leaders and cadre, Yatra has managed to cross 6.5 Cr in Telugu states. On the other hand, Yatra’s satellite rights were sold out for the whooping price and digital platform rights also made very big for producers. While Mamooty portrayed as YS Rajasekhar Reddy in Yatra, young director Mahi V Raghav handled megaphone. Anasuya and Jagapathi Babu did other important roles.

When compared with NTR Biopic, we have to consider Yatra as super hit film, because of Yatra’s budget and collections. More interesting is, though Yatra closing business declared, the film may run in theatres up to upcoming elections, and it will surely a big advantage for YSR Congress Party, sources asserted.
