Anupam Kher almost nailed as Manmohan Singh in the ambitious prestigious project The Accidental Prime Minister. The film is based on the book of the same name by Sanjaya Baru, in which Akshaye Khanna plays the role of Baru.

After a long wait, the trailer of the film is finally unveiled and it is going viral all over for every possible and right reason. The film shows the life of politician and economist Dr Manmohan Singh, who served as India’s Prime Minister from 2004-2014. The trailer of the film has been creating a lot of buzzes all around. Anupam Kher looks so similar to Manmohan and even the way he talks and mannerisms are much like Manmohan only.  While German actor Suzanne Bernert plays Sonia Gandhi, Aahana Kumara will be seen as Priyanka Gandhi. Arjun Mathur plays Rahul Gandhi in The Accidental Prime Minister. 

The film is helmed by debutant Vijay Ratnakar Gutte. In the trailer, Akshaye, who plays Baru says, “These people will write the story of the country and I am going to write their story.”  This indicates how the film is going to be and what all is going to be shown from the controversial book and life of a person ever. The film is releasing on January 11.
