Bollywood is all set to witness the release of the prestigious film Manikarnika-The Queen of Jhansi on Jan 25, 2019, as a Republic Day treat. The film has a lot of expectations and the mere presence of Kangana Ranaut in the lead is enough for the cash counters to set ringing.
The filmmakers already gave a clarity on the film release a couple of months back. The makers who initially planned to release the film in Hindi across the country, as the film's release date is fast approaching, they are planning to dub the film into Telugu and Tamil and release the dubbed versions on the same day.
Film Nagar is abuzz with the talk that Hindi version may not make any impact but if Manikarnika's Telugu version releases, it will have a powerful impact at the box office. The makers of NTR biopic announced that the second part, NTR-Mahanayakudu will be releasing on Republic Day, Jan 26, 2019. It has been already decided to release the two parts, Kathanayakudu and Mahanayakudu within a span of 15 days. It is known that Kathanayakudu is releasing on Jan 9th,2019.
Krish who is directing NTR biopic directed Manikarnika too before leaving the project in the middle. Kangana completed the balance work and is readying the film for Republic Day release. It is not clear whether Kangana unintentionally announced the film release or wantonly readying for a direct fight with Krish at the box office. Already NTR biopic is having a lot of competition at the box office and if Manikarnika Telugu version too releases, then competition will increase.
The makers are considering postponing Mahanayakudu to February as there are many high profile films in Jan. All eyes are on Krish and what decision he will take regarding Mahanayakudu and Manikarnika clash.
