Bollywood Superstar Shahrukh Khan's 'Zero' was in the final leg of shooting in Mumbai's Film City when the fire broke out on the sets. However, the conflagrations did not cause any harm to cast & crew, including the actor who was present on the sets. But, the smoke which rose out of Film City forced the makers to halt the shooting of Zero.
Alerted with fire accident, the location managers have quickly arranged some four fire engines and informed about it to Mumbai Police. According to some reports from Bollywood, the fire broke out around 4:30 PM on Thursday due to a short circuit at the shooting spot and no casualties were reported. Speaking about the incident, Mumbai Deputy Commissioner of Police said: "Fire was confined to electric wiring, electric installation, lights, ropes, shooting materials and curtains."
As per an update from our source, Shahrukh was filming for a song when the fire accident took place. Bring directed by Anand L Rai, Zero stars SRK, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. The film is scheduled for worldwide release on 21st December.
