In the last four years, the government of Telangana saw all praise from several bigwigs of Telugu Film Industry. Top stars including Chiranjeevi, Mohan Babu, Nagarjuna, Brahmanandam, Suman and many others praised KCR and his development activities and almost all of them from TFI who attended World Telugu Conference in Hyderabad also hailed the TRS supremo.
On another hand, several actors and actresses were floored by the impeccable work of IT minister KTR. But now, there is a pin-drop silence from the industry people ahead of assembly election in Telangana With fever running high in all parts of the state, no celebrity from Telugu Film Industry has come out in support of K Chandrashekhar Rao's TRS party.
While the Mahakutami (Congress, TDP, CPI and TJS) alliance is said to have gained support from Telugu film industry which is based out of Hyderabad. Particularly, Kukatpally and Jubilee Hills assembly segments in Hyderabad have a sizeable number of voters from the cinema industry. But, on ground level, the TRS candidates in both these segments are seeing a meagre response from them.
While the Congress declared three veteran actresses as their star campaigners for Telangana election: Vijayashanti, Khushbu and Nagma, TDP is likely to bank on Hindupur MLA and actor Balakrishna Nandamuri. However, some reports suggest that NTR and Kalyan Ram will likely campaign for their sister Suhasini, who is contesting on TDP ticket for Kukatpally constituency.
Though the majority of film Industry folks are in silence ahead of polls, a few artists like Suman, Uttej and Jabardasth fame Chamak Chandra have jumped into the poll bandwagon to campaign for TRS in their respective areas.
