The recent release ‘Savyasachi’ featuring Yuva Samrat Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and the chocolate hunk Madhavan came in with a lot of expectations but it turned out to be a dud. Given that, you might be wondering what has this got to do with mega prince Varun Tej as he is busy with his space thriller ‘Antariksham 9000 Kmph’.

Well, here is one interesting story for you. It is heard that prior to approaching Chay, director Chandoo Mondeti approached Varun with the story of ‘Savyasachi’ but for some reason the young hero was not excited. It is also heard that after Varun, Chandoo reportedly approached Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja with the same story.

Even that didn’t work and it ultimately worked with Chay. From his end, sources say Varun is relieved as his decision about ‘Savyasachi’ proved to be right. At a time when he is preparing to scale up to the next level, a flop in his kitty would have certainly marred his chances. That’s how things work in cine industry folks!
