Just recently we had reported about logic director Sukumar and how he is determined to come up with a very different image and storyline for Superstar Mahesh Babu. As part of that, he had designed a story with a period backdrop and to be more precise, it was meant to be the post independence era i.e the 1940s and 50s.

With this, many started imagining how Mahesh would look in this but before things can go further, a bomb has fallen. Grapevine is making rounds that Mahesh has rejected the whole idea of coming up with a period movie. Apparently, he feels too many movies are coming in that genre so he doesn’t want to repeat it.

As a result, it is heard that Sukumar has kept that script aside and has begun working on something new for Mahesh. The fact that he could not deliver a hit to Mahesh in their earlier venture ‘1-Nenokkadine’ is haunting Sukumar and hence he is working with grit to come up with a robust script for the superstar.
