Shankar is now going to focus on his next film which will have Kamal Haasan in lead role as 2.O is all set for release on November 29. This film is none other than Indian 2, the sequel of Indian. Makers of the film, Lyca Productions, have announced that the shooting of the film will commence soon.

With the remake of the blockbuster vigilante thriller, Kamal will once again be seen as freedom fighter Senapathy. Shankar and Kamal are reuniting after two decades with the remake. Thought the film will go on floors in December, it will be released only in 2020. Reports have claimed that this film could be the last film of Kamal as he is in plans of quitting acting for the sake of his political agendas.

It is also said that Nayanthara will be playing the female lead in the film. Indian, which was released in 1996, had won several national and international honours. It was also India’s official entry to the Oscars.
