The latest report is that actor Rana Daggubati has been roped in by director Venu Udugula of Needi Naadi Oke Katha fame to play the lead role in Virata Parvam 1992. The film is said to be a period drama and has Sai Pallavi as the leading lady and she will be pairing with Rana for the first time ever.

The character will be different from all the roles the actor has played till now. It was with Baahubali that the actor is bagging too many scripts now and has become busy making films in different languages. Or else, Rana was barely known before Baahubali. Credits go to Rajamouli.

Apparently, this role was actually offered to Sharwanad and he also said yes to the story. But due to other commitments he already had, Sharwa walked out of the project. So once again, Rana replaces an actor once again for another film. It is known that he replaced Nana Patekar in Housefull 4. Rana is also part of NTR, Madai Thiranthu and a couple more films which are in pipeline.
