Since the last few years, you would have noticed that a lot of celebrities have given statements that they have faced sexual exploitation and they are going to file defamation cases but nobody has actually come forward and filed it. While nobody really gives a thought about it afterwards, what exactly is the reason behind it?

Well, the reason is, when they file the case they need to specify the amount they are demanding as part of their allegations. For instance, if they are filing a case for 1 crore, the court says they need to pay 10 lakhs and then they must fight. And those who are facing the allegation, if they say they don’t have money and add it is personal loss the whole effort is gone.

Those who have filed, their money gets stuck in the court. Alternatively, if the celebrity victim says it can be put for ten lakhs, that will bring down their image and she would be perceived as cheap. In a big way, this is a totally unwanted exercise and realizing that, no defamation cases are being filed by the celebs.
