We are currently swimming through a plethora of biopics and though the genre is being rubbed without any mercy, if the makers are offering some interesting content, the films are working. Right now, another biopic which is expected to be promising is the one on the former heroine and late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalithaa.

Normally, a sublime and established performer is required to step into such biopic because that’s when the brand value would sustain. However, it appears that the makers of Jaya’s biopic have made an incorrect choice. According to reports from Chennai, the role of Jaya would be essayed by Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.

She happens to be the daughter of Supreme Star Sarath Kumar and those who heard it are not able to explain what were the parameters for choosing her. The film has been titled as ‘The Iron Lady’ and all those tales about Vidya Balan doing the lead role have turned out to be false. The poster got unveiled.
