After the way the magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ rattled the box office despite being made with a whopping budget of 250 crores, it gave a totally new sense of confidence to the makers. They started believing that even high budget flicks can also fetch profits. In that process, quite a few heavy budget flicks have come into the offing.
Notable among them is ‘2.0’ featuring Style Samrat Rajnikanth and charming star Akshay Kumar. This film has been touted as the most costliest ever made in India. But now it appears the makers are crossing the line by many miles. Well, during the earlier phase it was touted to be made at a budget of nearly 300 crores.
Now, suddenly the makers are quoting the film has been made at 540 crores. The rationalists are saying the makers are giving just exaggerated figures to ensure they can sell the film at higher prices. While that is understood, it doesn’t mean they can attach any unrealistic figure they want to sell it. That’s the story folks!
