A biopic is generally a film which covers the entire lifespan of an individual who has been successful in life and has become a role model to the society. Since about an year or so, a big mania has gripped the Indian cinema circuit to come up with biopics. However, there seems to be some customization happening right now.
It is being noticed that the directors making biopic are opting to go for only few segments which show the positive side. Recently we saw the Hindi movie ‘Sanju’ which showed the deadly Sanjay Dutt as a victim of circumstances. Now, the Telugu biopic ‘Yatra’ is reportedly focusing only on the late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy’s Padayatra he undertook for elections.
Now, another update has arrived about the biopic on great N T Rama Rao. According to a grapevine, the majority of the film would focus on the life of NTR prior to him becoming a star and his deep love for his first wife Basavatarakam. Buzz is that the director Krish wants to show a completely unseen side of NTR but it remains to be seen how satisfied the audience will be if this is the total story.
