The case takes us back to the year 2012. The producer of a popular television show named Mukesh Mishra has been sentenced to be jailed for seven years, for raping a junior artist. The 31-year-old junior artiste had filed a case earlier that she was raped by Mukesh Mishra.

Mukesh Mishra has been booked under IPC 376 for raping the junior artist. The case filed by the junior artist was in hearing all the years. Now that the rapist has been sentenced to imprisonment, the victim has been served with justice.

According to the victim, the producer had called her and offered a job in the serial titled VEERA. On arriving in the studio, the producer had lied that a bus would arrive to pick her up. Later, he told that the bus would be late and offered to drop her in the studio. He took her there and raped her. On resisting, he threatened to kill the victim and her daughter.
