"Officer" director Ram Gopal Varma has announced an interesting project. Mr. Varma has announced his collaboration with filmmaker Madhu Mantena for an upcoming web-series. The web-series is titled D-Company, which is to portray the rise of the underworld dons of Mumbai.

Ram Gopal Varma tweeted on Twitter: "Me and Madhu Mantena team up for a web series 'D Company', a chronicle of the Mumbai underworld.
Starting from rise of Dawood Ibrahim in early 1980's and initiation of 'D Company' -- story will be till end of the tremendous gang wars that started post 93 blasts."

"I have been trying to collect all possible things for this series since two decades. Only a series can do justice to the massive information I have collected, told the filmmaker who has been making back-to-back flop movies.

While the concept sounds interesting, Varma is someone who announces projects and forgets about it. There is no hint of what is going on with the series Kadapa and Guns and Thighs.
