Planning a film on large canvas, coming up with grand sets and creating a larger than life hype is something which is possible when you have sufficient budget but the real deal comes when the final product is watched onscreen and the people decide whether it is really worth the effort. For doing something like this, the director needs to be extremely capable.

Gunasekhar has been known as a grandeur director because he has always believed in extravagant settings and huge budgets. Truth be told, his movies have not been able to create an impact when it comes to content and execution. Considering his past credentials, discussions are now happening on his next magnum opus ‘Hiranyakasipa’.

This is being made at a whopping budget of Rs 180 crores and it is produced by Daggubati Suresh. As such, Suresh is a very shrewd businessman and he takes account of every rupee spent so it is going to be a tricky situation as to how Gunasekhar is going to do justice for this kind of budget and most importantly, whether he can deliver it as expected.
