The biopic season continues to run and after the super success of ‘Mahanati’ based on the life of the legendary actress Savitri, many are motivated to come with some more biopics. However, one of the main reasons why ‘Mahanati’ worked is due to its star power. Some of the characters were essayed by noted Telugu film celebrities which added weight.

However, the choice that intellectual filmmaker Krish is making for the NTR Biopic is raising eyebrows. According to reports, it is heard that Krish has chosen the Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta to essay the role of L V Prasad. The same role was done by Srinivas Avasarala in ‘Mahanati’. Many are wondering why Jisshu all the way from Kolkata when we have so many here.

While some say Krish must have seen the mannerisms and resemblances to the great visionary in Jisshu while few others say Krish plans to release the film in Bengali as well so having Jisshu is going to help. Well, whatever the intent may be, it all boils down to how Jisshu will deliver onscreen which will determine everything.
