The interest and response towards a biopic has been rather high and after looking at the response ‘Mahanati’ the biopic of legendary actress Savitri, the cine folks got further pumped up to come up with as many biopics as they can. In this process, one biopic which has been raising curiosity is ‘Yatra’ which is based on some part of late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy’s life.

This has Malayalam megastar Mammootty stepping into the shoes of YSR and it has spiked the brand value of the film in a big way. Now, the latest update is that the shooting has commenced and unlike the other projects which work in different schedules with breaks, this one is going to be a single schedule flick.

Unit members reveal the shooting will continue nonstop till September and there will be no break. The film is helmed by Mahi V Raghav of ‘Anando Brahma’ fame and the focus of the film would be more on the Padayatra YSR undertook in the year 2003 during peak summer which spelled the doomsday for Telugu Desam Party and Chandrababu Naidu.
