Tamil Nadu girl named Anukreethy Vas was crowned Miss India 2018. Anukreethy was crowned in a star-studded event held in Mumbai last night. Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar had taken the opportunity to crown Anukreethy as the Femina Miss India for the year 2018. The 19-year old Miss India hails from Tamil Nadu.

Femina Miss India 2018 event was graced by cricketers, actors, models, and other dignitaries. The gala evening saw performances by stars like Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez. The panel of judges include cricketers Irfan Pathan and KL Rahul and Bollywood actors like Malaika Arora, Bobby D, ol and Kunal Kapoor and was hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Ayushman Khurana.

Anukreethy is identified as the Fbb Colours Femina Miss Tamil Nadu previously. 30 other contestants had taken part in Femina Miss India 2018 contest. Miss World Manushi Chhillar was one of the judges in the panel and she crowned Anukreethy with this honor. Meenakshi Chaudhary and Shreya Rao Kamavarapu are the runner-ups.
