Natural Star Nani is a darling to the Telugu audience and thanks to his acting prowess he also made his presence felt in the neighboring Kollywood circuit. However, here is an interesting yet funny thing which is happening. It is the way the Tamil folks are receiving Nani’s name. Apparently, Nani shot to fame in Tamil Nadu with the movie ‘Eega’.

This came in the Tamil version titled as ‘Naan Ee’ which means ‘I am a housefly’. Nani acted in that movie and coincidentally even his name also sounds like the title. As such, in Telugu Nani is a pet name and it is used in many households for boys. But in Tamil, they are taking literal meaning and that too due to that movie.

Now, whenever Nani is stepping into Tamil Nadu, he is called ‘Naan Ee’ with a tongue-in-cheek expression. Anyhow, on the work front, a movie titled as ‘Pourudu’ is arriving and this happens to be the dubbed version of a Tamil movie which had Nani in an important cameo. The hero of the film is Jayam Ravi and the Tamil version released way back in 2015.
