It does come as a surprise when the entire world is praising a film and suddenly someone stands up and starts battering it with anger and criticism. ‘Mahanati’ is the biopic on the legendary actress Savitri and as much as the makers tried to stand true to her story, the efforts have certainly borne fruits at the box office.

While there is a lot of praise and adulation coming from the movie, one person is breathing fire on it. Her name is Dr. Kamala Selvaraj and she happens to be a well-known gynecologist based in Chennai. The reason being, Kamala happens to be the daughter of Gemini Ganesan’s first wife Alamelu and she is hitting the roof.

Apparently, she has not liked the way her daddy has been projected onscreen and maintained that he was not responsible for Savitri’s alcohol addiction. She came with her version of how her father was humiliated by Savitri. Well, it now remains to be seen whether Dr. Kamala will stop her tirade here or proceed with some legal action too.
