The one film which is currently creating waves at the box office both in Tollywood and Kollywood is ‘Mahanati’, the biopic on the legendary actress Savitri. Given the fact that Savitri was quite popular even in Tamil Nadu, the response there is quite overwhelming. However, reports from Chennai are revealing something interesting.
Apparently, the Telugu version didn’t really focus on the Pushpavalli character. Literally speaking, her scenes are not there but in the Tamil version, it is heard that two to three scenes are there which have worked well. This role was essayed by Bindu Chandramouli and it is heard that she is somewhat disappointed about the cuts.
If these reports from Chennai are true it would mean that the makers have adopted a different approach so that the movie appeals as per the nativity of the audience. Also, there are many Tamil people who know Telugu so some are suggesting they can watch both the Telugu and Tamil versions to get full clarity.
