It is an era of Biopics in Tollywood. A number of filmmakers are keen on making biopics of prominent personalities. One of the most awaited biopics is of late veteran actress Savithri's. Titled as Mahanati, Savithri's life story is being made as a movie which is directed by Nag Ashwin.
Keerthy Suresh is playing the lead in this movie, to portray Savithri. The first look poster was out and created a heavy buzz about this biopic. Samantha Akkineni is to appear in an important role along with Dulquer Salman, Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda, Shalini Pandey etc.
The first look poster of Samantha Akkineni from the movie Mahanati is out. She plays the role of Madhura Vaani. The first look poster is quoted with a caption "Naa Peru Kanyashulkamlo Saavitri Gaari Pere- Madhuravaani (B.A Gold Medal). Madhura Vaani is a name of the character in the very famous Kanyaashulkam. Samantha looks keen and apt with her retro-look and long hair amidst the heap of books and documents in the picture. Mahanati is slated for its release on 9th May.
